Tan Chin Shu - Bio

Tan Chin Shu is a Geotechnical Engineer with over 40 years’ experience in foundation and geotechnical engineering industry and founding Director of Shinei Geotechnique. He is a Professional Engineer, and Member of the Board of Engineers, Malaysia.
Chin Shu obtained his BSc in Civil Engineering at UMIST University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology and MSc in Foundation Engineering at University of Birmingham.

In 1989, Chin Shu founded Shinei Geotechnique Sdn Bhd as part of the Shinei group of companies. Chin Shu has led all manner of geotechnical projects including governmental, commercial and residential buildings as well as highways, bridges, railway, and power plants.

Chin Shu started his career as a consultant at Kemas Consult.

He was engineering manager at L&M Geotechnics before becoming the first Regional Director of Bauer Far East Malaysia. Chin Shu was a Director at Pintaras Jaya Sdn Bhd. Chin Shu also founded Material Testing Lab.
